What can I do with a major in communications?

Adelphi’s Center for Career and Professional Development offers support and tools to help you figure out your optimal career path. Use the Career Path resource to see what careers are often connected to a degree in journalism and public relations, media studies, and digital production and cinema studies. Alana da Silva ’07 works as a DP, director and editor in a Sweden for Vinagaland FIlm. Recently she did some documentary work at a refugee camp in Jordan.

Become a teacher

Adelphi offers a combined baccalaureate/master’s five year program which allows students to major in communications and also fulfill courses in education that will lead to New York State teaching certification.
